Course Post-race & Awards Merchandise
(click map to enlarge; click it again for full size) The 5km and KOOL 10.73K will start at 8:00am in the heart of Oak Bay's charming shopping district.
The 5km has its own start line on Monterey at Oak Bay Ave. The 5km course takes a scenic loop through the historic residential setting of Oak Bay, passing McNeil Bay before returning to the finish line via a small friendly hill on Newport Rd. Course Map (JPEG)
Meanwhile the KOOL 10.73K mirrors the Half Marathon course except for one small difference: the Half Marathoners have to continue past Estevan Ave and run another 10 km! The KOOL 10.73K passes Willows Park and makes a right turn on Estevan Ave and does a small loop by the water, then finishes back inside Willows Park. The KOOL 10.73K participants and relay participants also have the option to ride the new shuttle back to the post-race area at Oak Bay Ave and Hampshire Rd.
A shuttle has been created to shuttle the KOOL 10.73K runners from Dunlevy St and Dalhousie St to Theatre Lane. The pick-up location will be on the corner of Dunlevy St and Dalhousie St, and the drop-off location is in the back of Theatre Lane by the Penny Farthing's back exit. The shuttle is easy to recognize: it is the Oak Bay Beach Hotel Bus. The shuttle service will start at 8:40am and run until 11am. Please note the walk from the KOOL 10.73K finish line to the shuttle stop is one block, so please make note of where the stop is.
